Do I have to install software to be monitored by ServerGuard24?

No, ServerGuard24 does not require software on your website.

Our website is protected with a username and password. Can it be monitored by ServerGuard24 too?

Yes. You simply need to HTTP Pro HTTP Pro Service from ServerGuard24. It is available starting with the Advanced plan.

Do I need to consider which platform my website runs under (e.g. Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mac)?

No, ServerGuard24's monitoring is not platform-specific. Our services behave exactly like visitors to your website and are therefore not tied to the platform. Visitors are interested in the content of your website and don't want to see any errors. We help you make this possible.

Can I also have a site monitored with a CGI-based login?

Yes, ServerGuard24 also offers you the possibility to monitor secured areas with CGI-login. To do so, use the HTTP Pro Service, available in the Advanced packet. To do so, use the HTTP Pro Service, available in the Advanced plan .

Yes, with the HTTPS Pro Service you can monitor websites with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) version 3.0 or higher.

I have a limited transfer amount per month available. How much does ServerGuard24 need?

Depending on the packet, we use a monitoring interval

from once a minute up to once an hour. A certain data amount is required from your server during each check depending on the service.
If you monitor your homepage, for example, via HTTP with the Basic packet (monitoring intervals of 20 minutes), you will get the following transfer rates:

Our request produces approximately 100 bytes incoming transfer. The answer from your server corresponds to the size of the monitored HTML site (without images, downloads, etc.). We'll take 30 Kbytes as an example.

100 bytes x 3 per hour x 24 hours x 31 days = approx. 218 Kbytes incoming
30 Kbytes x 3 per hour x 24 hours x 31 days = approx. 65.4 Mbytes outgoing.

This is assuming that your service experiences no downtime. The transfer increases with downtime problems because of the repeat checks

performed.

Is there a set-up fee with ServerGuard24?

No, there are no initial set-up fees.

When can I cancel ServerGuard24's monitoring service?

You can cancel at any time at the end of the month on the administrative user interface.
