Description of Service POP3

Description
This service allows you to monitor via POP3 protocol. You can monitor any mail server which is available on the internet and is externally accessible.
Form Field
Port POP3 server's port. (default value: 110)
Timeout
[sec]		 Time in seconds before a connection attempt times out.
If a timeout occurs, the status of the services is changed to Critical.
IdentifierIdentifier that should be characteristic for the service.
This identifier makes assigning services easier if you are using several services of the same type on one server. It is specified in the report and the notification.
Availability Report
OK Server responding, successful connection to port, reply from POP3 server
Critical Server not responding, no connection to port within the timeout, no reply from POP3 server
Performance Report
Response Time Time, which is needed to execute a single check of the service
